How long does a therapy session last?
Individual therapy sessions usually last between 45-60 minutes.
Premarital or Marriage Counseling sessions typically last around 60 minutes.
Cold water immersions will last anywhere from 5-15 minutes on average, with an additional 30 minutes set aside to process the experience.
Therapeutic hikes may last anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple hours.
What therapy styles do you use?
I pull from a variety of therapeutic styles to ensure that I best meet the needs of my client. I frame my practice through the foundation of feminist therapy, and then add to it through the use of existential therapy, expressive arts therapy, nature therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive-focused behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I also pull from yoga calm strategies and play therapy strategies. I am a certified grief educator as well, and have completed the Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training (TF-CBT).
