Catholic Charities Bureau

Since 1917 the Catholic Charities Bureau has been providing services to the poor, the disadvantaged, the disabled, the elderly and children with special needs as an expression of the social ministry of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Superior.

Family Forum

Family Forum, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation that provides programs for families in Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron, and Price Counties of Wisconsin.

Harbor House Crisis Center

Harbor House Crisis Shelters mission is to provide hospitable shelter, transitional living and services for homeless women and families. Health and Human Services of Douglas County

Men as Peacemakers

Men As Peacemakers (MAP) is building safe communities through programs that address and undermine the root causes of violence against women and children including sexism, male dominance, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. MAP is at the forefront of a movement to promote equality and end violence against women and children. MAP engages individuals and communities in Minnesota and beyond, by mobilizing existing community resources and developing innovative primary prevention and restorative justice strategies that are proven to significantly reduce and repair the harm caused by men.

North Country Independent Living

North Country Independent Living is a non-profit agency empowering people with disabilities in Northwestern Wisconsin. As a consumer controlled organization, at least 51% of our staff and board are people with disabilities. North Country staff provides information, training and support to people with disabilities in making informed decisions about disability related needs. All services are consumer controlled, each individual decides which services they wish to participate in while working with staff to establish goals and determine steps to meet those goals.

The Superior Family Resource Center

The Superior Family Resource Center provides family and early childhood education. Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency

NWCSA, as a community-based organization, is dedicated to the betterment of life of the low-income residents in its SDA. Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA)

Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) is a nonprofit rape crisis center in southern St. Louis County that helps area residents cope with the aftermath of sexual violence.

Services include various options for people who have been victimized, ranging from immediate crisis intervention to long-term counseling.

Ruby’s Pantry distributes food at Pop-Up Pantry locations across MN & WI. There is no income or residency requirement and for a $22 bundle donation you will receive an abundance of groceries.

Safe Haven

Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center in Duluth, Minnesota provides services to women, children, and all survivors whose lives have been affected by physical, emotional, sexual, and economic abuse. Some women who use our services are in physical danger. Others are living with controlling partners in relationships that are emotionally abusive.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army began offering assistance to disaster survivors after a major hurricane hit Galveston, TX in September 1900, destroying the coastal city and killing thousands of people. Since then, The Salvation Army has responded to numerous natural disasters, transportation accidents, civil unrest situations and terrorist attacks. By providing beverages, meals, and emotional and spiritual care to first responders and survivors, The Salvation Army strives to bring hope and healing to people who find themselves in the midst of extremely difficult situations.

Senior Connections

As the County Aging Unit, Senior Connections provides services and programs to individuals aged 60 and over, as mandated by the Older Americans Act. Additionally, Senior Connections provides Specialized Transportation to individuals aged 55 and over and persons with disabilities.

Solidarity Food Shelf

The Solidarity Food Shelf is a modest 24/7 self-serve food and clothing shelf set up on the front porch of a private residence at 1506 N. 19th Street in Superior, Wisconsin. We offer free food, clothes, toiletries and misc. household items. Come by any time and help yourself to anything you need.  And if you have any extra items you don't need, feel free to drop them off.

In addition to the food shelf, we also host a free herbs and vegetable garden in the yard in front of the food shelf.  Feel free to help yourself to anything growing there.  And if you'd like a small space to plant some food of your own, let us know and we'll try to make that happen.

Northwest WIC Community Service Agency

The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children.
